My name is Martin Babic.
I am a freelance photographer trying to capture the world from a slightly different perspective.
I enjoy combining traditional approach to photography with my own way of seeing.
I work mostly in monochromatic spectre because I strongly believe in its symbolic power.
I am a member of the Association of Professional Photographers of the Czech Republic (APF). I have done commissioned photography work for the magazine Peleton, the official website of the Czech Republic, and for various clients in different companies and universities, to name a few. I also work with the non-profit arts organizations Ara Art and ProART.
In 2006, my series on the Roma boxing coach Stanislav Tišer was shortlisted for the student photojournalism award by the French magazine Paris Match.
Two years prior, I served as photographer and cameraman for the filming of the documentary film De Casa au Paradis. The film went on to receive a special mention from the jury of the French documentary film festival FIGRA in 2008.
My clients include government institutions, bands, art collectives, theatre groups, private companies and even graphic design and creative studios. Many of these are long-running partnerships.
