Martin Babic

My name is Martin Babic.

I am a freelance photographer trying to capture the world from a slightly different perspective.

I enjoy combining traditional approach to photography with my own way of seeing.

I tend to use monochromatic spectre for my personal projects and artistic commissions. On the other hand, I use the full potential of the colour photography in my commercial work.

I am a member of the Association of Professional Photographers of the Czech Republic (APF). I have done commissioned photography work for the magazine Peloton, the official website of the Czech Republic, and for various clients in different companies and universities, to name a few. I also work with the non-profit arts organizations Ara Art and ProART.

In 2006, my series on the Roma boxing coach Stanislav Tišer was shortlisted for the student photojournalism award by the French magazine Paris Match.

Two years prior, I served as photographer and cameraman for the filming of the documentary film De Casa au Paradis. The film went on to receive a special mention from the jury of the French documentary film festival FIGRA in 2008.
